We had two kids in a very old, 1,300 sf house. We loved the neighborhood we were in, but knew we needed more space. We had high expectations because of how much we loved our existing neighborhood. We wanted the same situation we had but with twice as much space. We couldn't afford to buy in our neighborhood so Cara and her team showed us homes in neighborhoods that had many of the same characteristics. The market was extremely hot and we missed out on the first few we chased because we couldn't afford where the pricing was headed. Cara then showed us a premarket building another Compass agent had just landed. We toured before the open house and with Cara's guidance we were able to put together an offer attractive enough to win the home without a competitive bid process. Cara helped us with inspections, lease back to sellers and even negotiating the purchase of some of the furniture owned by seller. We were terrified of a long, difficult process because of the horror stories we had been hearing, but we got exactly what we wanted at a price we could afford.
